Director's statement
By telling our family’s story inside a historical house through our camera as the new generation of Iranians, we try to unveils the unspoken story of these people whose life has always been affected by the socio-political issues of their country which they have no control on what so ever.

My mother brought us to this house when we were kids and our father died back then, we have witnessed many things through the beliefs and actions of our mother. She is not a politician nor a diplomat. She is just a freedom-loving and active woman who has had many dreams. The dream of changing the circumstances in which she lives. We grew up observing our family’s struggling, the more we look at them, the more we see this eager in ourselves to tell their story.

We juxtapose the daily life of each member of the family that live in the house with the political backdrop of the country. In contrast to the everyday life of these characters through the ordinary moments in the house the film shows memories of past and present. Archival Footage transport us in a different place in time covering major historical events, while personal home movie footage offers a personal glimpse into how social and political issues affected a family.
